This is my very first time coming to Oshkosh, and with a toddler in tow!
The drive from Charlotte was planned to be eight hours to our first stop in Indiana; 10 hours with minimal stops. 15 hours later we finally arrived safely at our overnight destination.
The next morning we headed out to finish our trek to Oshkosh and immediately ran into trailer trouble. Our brake locked up on one side! With God’s provision we found a boat trailer mechanic one mile down the road that was able to get us is as soon as they opened. Another two hour delay (and two exploded diapers) but we were on our way again! Our son watched more tv, specifically Veggies Tales, than he has ever watched in his life and hardly complained the entire trip. We are finally here and the journey has been well worth it.
We’ve met some really nice people such as Q from Oklahoma and Willy from Texas as well as many others. We are looking forward to our first meeting tonight and the car show tomorrow! We’ve heard there is a food court with funnel cakes and snow cones – with all the walking we’re doing, why not?
