Mt. Pisgah Church in Miami Gardens, Fla., marked a significant milestone on April 11, 2026, with the dedication of its newly renovated children’s facility — an intentional investment in the rising generation, and a reflection of the church’s continued growth and vision.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together members, leaders, and community supporters to witness the unveiling of the upgraded space designed specifically for younger children.
“The future looks bright,” said Bevans Gordon, Mt. Pisgah children’s ministries leader, who oversees the lower division Sabbath School program. She emphasized the importance of early Christian education in shaping children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual development.
The renovated facility, completed by contractor Jeptha Williams, provides a safe, engaging, and purpose-built environment tailored to the needs of kindergartners. The project, supervised by Rhea Wright, Mt. Pisgah building committee chairperson, underscores Mt. Pisgah’s commitment to nurturing its youngest members, and strengthening the foundation of faith from an early age.
“Guided by God, we have embraced a spirit of innovation and a deep commitment to investing in the next generation,” said Nikolai Greaves, Mt. Pisgah senior pastor. “This is more than expansion — it marks a new chapter in the life of our church, one centered on faith, leadership, and community impact.”
Greaves noted that the church is focused on creating a dynamic spiritual environment where young people can engage meaningfully with their faith, and develop into leaders and positive influences within their communities.
In a highlight moment during the ceremony, Greaves announced that the members have successfully retired all financial obligations, including those associated with the children’s facility, and declared the campus officially debt-free — a milestone that was met with enthusiastic applause.
Now in its 66th year, Mt. Pisgah Church members continue to serve as a vibrant and progressive congregation with a membership of 1,045. The church is known for its dynamic preaching, rich blend of contemporary and traditional worship, and a diverse, multigenerational community.
“Serving at Mt. Pisgah over the past 18 months has been an amazing experience,” said Greaves. “I am confident in God’s leading as we continue to elevate — moving higher and reaching upward to Him.”
As Mt. Pisgah continues to grow, its focus remains clear: building not just facilities, but a strong foundation of faith for generations to come.
