A Youth and Young Adult Congress took place August 14-15, 2026, in Jonesboro, Ga. The theme was “Be Transformed.” It was two days filled with worship, music, prayer, seminars, messages from the Word of God, interactive activities, fellowship, sports, and opportunities for spiritual growth. From Friday evening through the closing program on Saturday, the members witnessed young people from different churches coming together with one purpose: to seek God, strengthen their faith, and accept the challenge of being transformed so they can transform others. José Vicente Rojas, an international speaker, shared inspiring and spiritually challenging messages with the young people.
The event was organized by Carmen Silva, local youth director, with support from Daniel Nagel, Joel Mayen, local church youth leaders, and youth directors. Raquel Reyes prepared and presented special programs for children who attended, and Primera Fe and Saúl Heras provided inspirational music.
The event was supported by South Atlantic leaders: Calvin B. Preston, president; David A. Smith, executive vice president; and Aaron Abernathy, youth and young adults director. Julio Chazarreta, Hispanic ministries director for the Southern Union Conference, also attended.
