What a Day

By Lauren Guenin

August 14, 2019 I woke up to the sound of rain on the roof of my tent. A chill of excitement ran through my veins. Today was my first day of actual Oshkosh!

My friends voice tuned in. “fifteen minutes till worship” I got up and got ready. Worship was great and breakfast was delicious but now it was time to start my crazy fun day at Oshkosh.

We made our way to the hangers. We tried and tried so hard to get an honor but they were either full or we accidentally got pushed out of the line. So we went to explore.

We found my families campsite in the Canada section (I’m Canadian) but they weren’t there at the time. After that we tried finding the Bermuda club (my friend is Bermudian) but we had no luck. Then we headed back to campsite for some lunch.

We did some other cool stuff after that. Soon it was time for the meeting which was so cool. That was my first day at Oshkosh. It was awesome.

I’m learning so much about God and I hope I can come next Oshkosh.
