Ebenezer Adventist Christian School (EACS) at Ebenezer Church in Augusta, Ga., celebrated a century of teaching and learning excellence on March 21, 2026 — 100 Years Triumphant!
The school started during the 1925-1926 school year at the site of the Corinth Church under the Georgia-Cumberland Conference, 20 years before the formation of the South Atlantic Conference in 1946.
Celebrating 100 triumphant years, Kim Gaiter, South Atlantic vice president for education, gave remarks along with John Alberty, Ph.D., Allegheny East Conference superintendent of schools. Alberty is an Augusta native, and he delivered a resonant and timely message, “Peace of Thy Children,” extoling the lifelong benefits of Adventist Christian education.
EACS alumni, students, teachers, and supporters all joined together to honor Betty Wilson, EACS Class of 1961, as the Alumni of the Year during this milestone achievement.
Ebenezer has continued to serve the Augusta community under the leadership of Deidra Hodnett, current principal.
