Women's Ministries summit

Southern Union Women’s Ministries Serving Together

Effective ministry is built through collaboration, shared vision, and faithful leadership at every level. Across the Southern Union Conference, women’s ministries is united by one mission: to nurture, empower, and reach women for Christ — serving women of every generation in ways that honor God and reflect His love.

Southern Union Women’s Ministries provides vision and alignment. This mission is carried forward by dedicated women’s ministries conference directors across eight conferences: Beth Grissom, Carolina; Jennifer Hernandez, Florida; Amy Cirigliano, Georgia-Cumberland; Lisa LaPerriere, Gulf States; Gail McKenzie, Kentucky–Tennessee; April Smith, South Atlantic; Freddie Jenkins, South Central; and Esmeralda Guzman, Southeastern. Together, these leaders prayerfully shape ministry to address the spiritual, emotional, physical, and practical needs of women within their unique contexts.

This shared work is guided by the D.R.E.A.M.S. framework — Discipling, Restoring, Evangelizing, Affirming, Mentoring, and Servant Leading — a practical expression of the global focus areas of Nurture, Empowerment, and Outreach. While ministry expressions vary from conference to conference, the heart of the work remains united, Christ centered, and service driven.

Across the Southern Union, conference directors collaborate, learn from one another, and support initiatives that strengthen women of all ages and backgrounds. Through discipleship and healing ministries, mentoring and leadership development, and relational community engagement, women’s ministries reflects shared leadership rooted in faith and guided by purpose.

Though roles may differ, the calling is collective. Southern Union Women’s Ministries and conference directors work side by side, leading with wisdom, compassion, and servant hearts to faithfully serve women today and bring glory to God as His mission unfolds across generations.

We invite you to become involved in women’s ministries in your local church. Your participation helps fulfill the Titus 2 mandate of mentoring women, and the Ephesians 4:16 call to strengthen the body of Christ through the use of your gifts, talents, and experiences — following in the faithful footsteps of women who have left a lasting legacy.

Finally, as members of the Southern Union Conference women’s ministries executive committee, we are mission driven — serving women of every generation in ways that honor God and reflect His love, stronger together in mission and purpose.
